Granted, you can also see in retrospect what you didn’t do as well with your older children because those are the things you are left working on the most in your younger children.
One blessing with younger children in general is a lightening of the burden of expectations. When those older children make something seem normal, the younger ones succumb to the positive peer pressure.
Recently, my youngest three had to sit with a friend’s family. She observed that as my eleven year old held the three year old, he regularly turned her head to the front and quietly corrected her automatically. My husband and I have a lot more built in help now!
